A standing back kick is a simple workout for your legs, knees, hips and chest. This type of exercise is performed by standing behind the chair with your arms resting on it and lifting your one leg with the knee bent, then extend the leg behind you, while your chest come down towards the back of the chair.

Repeat this with your other leg and perform this exercise for at least 10 minutes altogether. You can do the ‘standing back kick’ exercise in case you do not want to step outside for a short walk. It can thus, be a useful alternative. This type of a quick exercise is also helpful in preventing numbness or cramp in your legs, which occurs when you sit on a chair for too long.
